Butterfly cakes Ingredients: 110g 4oz self-raising flour teaspoon baking powder 110g 4oz butter (soft) 110g 4oz sugar or finished baking mixture! Butter Icing: 170g 6oz (ounce) icing sugar 85g 3oz butter (soft) 3 drops of vanilla extract 1 tablespoon of milk Cooking Method: 1. Pour all the ingredients for the cakes (not the Butter Icing ingredients) into bowl and mix everything together. Place cupcake forms onto the baking tray. 2. Use spoon to fill each cupcake about half full with the cake mixture. 3. Preheat oven to 170 C. Put the baking tray in the middle of the oven and bake for 30 minutes. 4. Use sharp knife to slice off the top part of each cake. Cut the sliced off cake into two, these will be used later to form the wings of the butterfly. 5. Put all the ingredients for the Butter Icing in large bowl and mix for about five minutes until the ingredients are well mixed. 6. Place about teaspoon of Butter Icing on top of each cake. Then push the „wings into the butter icing. More decoration can be placed onto the butterfly cakes if wished.
