Textauszüge aus dem Inhalt:

Theory: will and going to Simple Future has two different forms in English: will and be going to. Although the two forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, they often express two very different meanings. These different meanings might seem too abstract at first, but with time and practice, the differences will become clear. Both will and be going to refer to specific time in the future: Past Present Future Um im Englischen die richtige Zeitform für Zukünftiges zu wählen, kannst du dir folgende Fragen stellen: Geht es um Plane oder um etwas, das sich jemand vornimmt? going to Futur: will Futur: Sally is going to buy new mobile at the weekend. But it will be expensive. Gibt es bereits Anzeichen für das zukünftige Geschehen? going to Futur: will Futur: Look, the cake is getting very dark! It is going to burn. Oh, the dog will like it anyway. Drückt jemand eine Hoffnung oder eine Vermutung aus? will Futur: think well win this match. Ill be there, promise! Signalwörter für diese Verwendung des will-Futur sind Wendungen wie: hope, think, Im sure, promise. Like all future forms, the Simple Future cannot be used in clauses beginning with time expressions such as: when, while, before, after, by the time, as soon as, if, unless, etc. Instead of Simple Future, Simple Present is used: Example: When you will arrive tonight, we will go out for dinner.
