Halloween Halloween is on 31st October, the day before the feast of All Saints. The tradition comes from the Celts in Ireland. But today Halloween is more poular in the USA. On the night of Halloween kids dress up as witches, ghosts, vampires and other spooky characters. People dress up as creepy as possible, because they want to make the evil spirits disappear. The children go from house to house and say „trick or treat. It means they want treat from the adults or they play them trick like throwing eggs on their houses. The children get candy as treat at the most doors. On Halloween people decorate their houses with jack olanterns. Jack olanterns are hollowed out pumpkins with candles inside.
