English Plural Forms Worksheet Plural Forms Task 1: Read the following text and fill in the missing words In English there is not only singular form for noun. There is also the plural form for nouns. Many singular nouns form the plural simply by adding an -s at the end. Examples for such nouns are boat – boats, cat – cats, river – rivers. However, there are words that end with either an s, ss, x, z. ch, or sh and those nouns make the plural by adding -es: Singular Plural buses wish pitches box Then there are nouns which end with -y.
