SURVIVAL IN THE DESERT The situation It is in the afternoon and you have just crashed in plane in the Gobi desert in Mongolia. The pilot and the co-pilot are dead. Two of the passengers are injured. After the crash the plane burnt down. Just before the crash the pilot told the passangers that they were 150 kilometers north of small mining camp. In the desert daytime temperatures can reach 43C and at night temperatures reach freezing. All the passangers are dressed in light clothes. The area is flat and dry.
