How do have to prepare the game: You are the presenter of the game and you stand in front of the class. Explain the game. Everybody needs to understand what s/he has to do. How do you want to play? Divide the class in two halves? Use the whiteboard to write things down, like groups, score (Punkte) and so on. You need to make sure that everybody listens in the class. They have to be silent when you are talking. 1) Pictionary What to prepare: Write down 20 English words of various levels on piece of paper (f.e.: Easy nouns, objects: book, car, tree, movie, snow, light Difficult verbs, adjectives: open, shout, slow, surprise, clean, throw) Easy words score one point, difficult ones two Think of how many groups you want to have in class (two, three, four ) Think of how to explain the game to the class How to play: One person of group comes to you and pics an easy or difficult word. This person sees the word and has one minute to draw the word on the whiteboard. (you need mobile phone or watch for the time) Only the team of the person who draws can guess. After you have explained how everything works the game starts: One of you says the first group of words with clear voice After that the groups have 10 seconds (mobile phone) to write down the word which does not fit in the group. After these ten seconds the groups can show, what they have written down. Each group gets point for the correct answer (white board) 3) Guess the action What to prepare: Write down 25 words in English.
