Writing diary entry – practice task Task Imagine you are on space station. Every day you have to go through the motions of life in space. You have to deal with weightlessness and no means to take walk in nature. What is your daily routine and what is challenging you? How are the other members? Describe how your feelings are. Writing diary entry – task 1 Task Imagine you are the captain of spaceship. You are on the journey to an exoplanet which has been discovered by scientists on Earth. You are just about to reach your destination after long time of travel. Write about your feelings and what your expectations are. Include some information about your journey and this planet. You are now writing about this in your diary. What were your feelings before and during the launch? What were you thinking/wishing for? For long, living in space has been an option and lot of people have already gone to the enormous space station that can simulate gravity. Your parents finally decided to take this opportunity and you have to go with them. Its now your last day on the planet and you want to make one last diary entry on Earth. How are your feelings? Writing an exposition Task Imagine you are part of team of scientists who have discovered an Earth-like planet. You also discovered that on this planet there is intelligent life. The team is now debating if they should try to contact this planet or not. Write down your opinion on what your team should do. Maybe you can convince them? Writing guide Think and plan 1. 2. 3. 4.
