Yellowstone National Park The Yellowstone National Park is one of the most famous national parks in the world. It is located mainly in the U.S. state of Wyoming and its name comes from the Yellowstone River. The park was founded in 1872 and is the oldest national park in the world. Yellowstone has an area of 9,000 square kilometers. There are lot of forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers and the park is known for its many geysers. The most famous geyser is called Old Faithful, it regularly shoots hot water and steam into the air. There are also many hot springs and thermal pools in the park. These are created by volcanic activity under the ground. You should know that theres huge supervolcano under the park. Many wild animals live in Yellowstone National Park, such as bison, wolves, bears and moose. Many visitors come every year to enjoy the nature. There are walking trails, viewing points and campsites. The park is managed by the National Park Service. Today, Yellowstone National Park is an important protected area for nature and wildlife. Id like to visit Yellowstone Park one day
